Privacy policy

What we collect through this site, why we keep it, how long we keep it and how you get it removed. Last updated: September 4, 2026.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller of the personal data described in this policy is MLJ, SASU, publisher of NannyMatchDesk and of the site nannymatchdesk.com. The publication director is Jimenez Julien. You can reach the controller at any time at jimenezjulien42@gmail.com, and that address is monitored by a person rather than an automated queue. This policy covers the public marketing site only. Candidate and family records that a subscribing agency stores inside the NannyMatchDesk application are processed by us on that agency's instructions, and the agency remains the controller of those records under the terms of service.

What the contact form collects

The request form on the home page collects exactly the following fields: your full name (name), your work email address (email), your agency name (company), your role (role), the type of request you are making (request), the number of placements your agency makes in a year (size), your written message (message), and your consent to be contacted (consent). Two hidden fields travel with the submission: a subject line identifying the site, and a recipient address so the message reaches the publisher. A honeypot field named bot-field is included to catch automated submissions and is expected to remain empty. We do not ask for a phone number, a postal address, or any information about your candidates or your client families, and you should not include candidate details in the message box.

Why we process it, and on what legal basis

We process form submissions in order to answer your request, to arrange a demonstration if you asked for one, and to keep a record of what was agreed during commercial discussions. Under the European General Data Protection Regulation, the legal basis is the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, together with our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and keeping a short record of them. The consent checkbox records your agreement to be contacted about the request you sent. We do not use your submission to build a marketing profile, we do not enrich it with data bought from third parties, and we do not add you to a newsletter or an automated sequence.

Who processes and stores submissions

Form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States, which hosts this site and operates the form handling service. A copy of each submission is delivered by email to the publisher. Netlify acts as a processor and is bound by its own data processing terms. No other third party receives your submission. We do not sell, rent, share or trade personal data with anyone, in any circumstances, and we do not disclose it except where we are legally required to do so.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

This site sets no advertising cookies, no third party analytics cookies and no social media tracking pixels. There is no Google Analytics tag, no advertising network tag and no cross site identifier on any page. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request for the font file itself; no cookie is set by that request. Your browser may keep ordinary technical logs, and our host records standard server request logs for security and reliability purposes, which are retained for a short period and are not used to profile visitors.

How long we keep submissions

Contact form submissions are kept for twenty four months from the date they are received, then deleted from the form store and from the publisher's mailbox. If your request becomes a subscription, the commercial correspondence relating to that contract is kept for the duration of the contract and for the retention period required by French commercial and tax law, which is ten years for accounting records. If you ask us to delete an enquiry earlier, we will do so unless we are required to keep it as part of an accounting record.

International transfers

The publisher is established in France and the hosting and form processing take place on infrastructure operated by a United States company. Transfers of personal data to the United States in this context rely on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission and on the supplementary measures described in our processor's data processing agreement. If you would like a copy of the relevant transfer documentation, write to the address below and we will send it.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw a consent you have given. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, which in France is the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertes.

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or Virginia, you have the right to confirm whether we process personal information about you, to access it, to request its correction where the applicable state law provides for correction, to request its deletion, and to obtain a portable copy. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or sharing to opt out of, and we do not use sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right, and residents of California may designate an authorized agent to make a request on their behalf.

How to exercise a right

Send your request to jimenezjulien42@gmail.com with enough detail for us to find the record, normally the email address you used on the form and the approximate date. We answer within thirty days, and we may ask one clarifying question to confirm that the request comes from you or from an agent you have authorized. There is no charge for a request, and you can appeal a refusal by replying to our answer, which routes to the publication director directly.

Children's privacy

This site and the NannyMatchDesk service are sold to businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen through this site. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact form, write to the address above and we will delete it promptly. Agencies that store information relating to minors inside the application do so as controllers under their own legal obligations, and our terms require them to have a lawful basis for doing so.

Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit with TLS. Application data is encrypted at rest, access to production systems is limited to the publication director, and access is logged. No system is perfect, and if a breach affecting your personal data occurs we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within the timeframes the law requires.
